When Pharaoh repeatedly refuses to let the Israelites go\, God sends a series of plagues: water turning to blood\, frogs\, lice\, wild animals\, death of livestock\, boils\, and hail. \nInterested in learning more? Cocina Madrigal is a fantastic place for some of the best Mexican food around. They’re currently cooking out of a food-truck kitchen while the restaurant is being rebuilt after a late-2023 fire—but don’t let “food truck” scare you off. There are tables and servers\, and everything is taken care of. \nI’m happy to drive and can take 3–4 guys with me. Mike Greenberg may also be able to drive and take a few people. \nIf anyone else can drive\, let me know—we can meet at the synagogue and head over together. \nI promise\, the food is 100% worth the trip. \nWho’s in? \nRich Goldman

DESCRIPTION:DATE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us Shabbat morning\, Saturday\, March 14\, at 10:30 a.m. via Zoom as we explore Vayakhel-Pekudei. \nThis combined Torah portion concludes the Book of Exodus\, focusing on the construction of the Mishkan (Tabernacle) by the Israelites\, the creation of priestly garments\, and the final assembly of the sanctuary. It emphasizes community\, generosity\, obedience to God’s instructions\, and the balance between work and Shabbat. We’ll also look at what the Torah has to say about Passover\, which starts on Wednesday\, April 1. \nInterested in learning more? Check it out here. We recommend having a JPS Hebrew-English Tanakh for the discussion\, which you can find on Amazon. \n  \nA minyan (a quorum of ten over the age of 13) ensures that those who need to say Kaddish have the opportunity to do so. Please reply with your “Yes” response.
