TORAH TALK

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 21

10:30 a.m.

via Zoom

Vayeshev (“He Settled”) marks the beginning of the Joseph narrative in the Torah, detailing the tensions between Joseph and his brothers, his enslavement in Egypt, and his subsequent imprisonment after being falsely accused by his master’s wife, whom he rejected. The parasha also recounts the story of Tamar, her marriages, and her complex relationship with her father-in-law, Judah.

A minyan (a quorum of ten over the age of 13) ensures that those who need to say Kaddish have the opportunity to do so. Please reply with your “Yes” response TODAY. Once you reply “Yes,” the Zoom link will be sent to you.

Interested in learning more? Check it out here: click here. We also recommend having a JPS Hebrew-English Tanakh for the discussion. The Jewish Publication Society (JPS) is offering a 40% discount on many of their publications, including the Tanakh we use in our synagogue and for Torah Talk. To take advantage of this offer, click on the link to order the Tanakh: JPS Hebrew-English Tanakh and use coupon code 6BPR24 at checkout. This offer expires on December 31, 2024, and is valid for U.S. and Canadian orders only.
