Torah Talk

March 14 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

DATE

Join us Shabbat morning, Saturday, March 14, at 10:30 a.m. via Zoom as we explore Vayakhel-Pekudei.

This combined Torah portion concludes the Book of Exodus, focusing on the construction of the Mishkan (Tabernacle) by the Israelites, the creation of priestly garments, and the final assembly of the sanctuary. It emphasizes community, generosity, obedience to God’s instructions, and the balance between work and Shabbat. We’ll also look at what the Torah has to say about Passover, which starts on Wednesday, April 1.

Interested in learning more? Check it out here. We recommend having a JPS Hebrew-English Tanakh for the discussion, which you can find on Amazon.

A minyan (a quorum of ten over the age of 13) ensures that those who need to say Kaddish have the opportunity to do so. Please reply with your “Yes” response. Once you reply “Yes,” the Zoom link will be sent to you closer to the date.

You don’t need any prior knowledge of the Torah portion, and you’re always welcome to join us and simply listen.
