TORAH TALK

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15

With the holidays behind us, we’re excited to dive into Torah discussions once again! If you’re new to our synagogue, we invite you to discover why Torah Talk (TT) is one of our most cherished programs. Many participants have shared how unexpectedly relevant and impactful the experience has been for them. You don’t need any prior knowledge of the Torah portion, and you’re always welcome to join us and simply listen.

Join us on Shabbat morning, Saturday, November 15, at 10:30 a.m. via Zoom as we explore Chayei Sara.

Chayei Sara (“The Life of Sarah”) opens as Sarah dies and Abraham buys the Cave of Machpelah to bury her. Abraham sends his servant to find a wife for Isaac. The servant meets Rebecca at a well, and Rebecca returns with the servant to marry Isaac. Abraham remarries, has more children, and dies at age 175.

Interested in learning more? Check it out here. We recommend having a JPS Hebrew-English Tanakh for the discussion, which you can find on Amazon.

A minyan (a quorum of ten over the age of 13) ensures that those who need to say Kaddish have the opportunity to do so. Please reply with your “Yes” response. Once you reply “Yes,” the Zoom link will be sent to you closer to the date.
